International students must obtain a valid visa to study in Indonesia. The visa type will depend on the purpose and duration of their stay. The following is an overview of visa options for students at UPNVY.
A. VISA E30B - FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE STUDY
The E30B Visa is intended for international students who plan to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Indonesia. Upon arrival at an Indonesian immigration checkpoint, visa holders will automatically obtain a Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) and a Re-Entry Permit, allowing them to stay in Indonesia during their study period. Key Information:
- Available for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Valid for a 1-year or 2-year stay permit upon arrival.
- The stay permit may be extended up to a maximum of 6 years. It can be extended online through [evisa.imigrasi.go.id].
- Visa Fee:
- IDR 6,000,000 – for a 1-year stay permit.
- IDR 8,500,000 – for a 2-year stay permit.
- Multiple entry is permitted.
- Visa holders may undertake educational activities in Indonesia.
Restrictions:
- Not permitted to work or engage in employment.
- Not allowed to sell goods or services.
- Not allowed to receive wages or compensation from individuals or companies in Indonesia.
Requirements:
Applicants must prepare the following documents:

- 18 months for a visa with a 1-year stay permit.
- 30 months for a visa with a 2-year stay permit.
- Proof of financial capability showing at least USD 2,000 or equivalent funds.

B. VISA C9 - FOR SHORT COURSE
The C9 Visa is intended for international visitors who plan to participate in short academic activities in Indonesia, such as short courses, short training programs, study visits, or Indonesian language programs (BIPA). Key Information:
- Valid for an initial stay of up to 60 days.
- The visa can be extended up to two times, with each extension valid for 60 days. It can be extended online through [evisa.imigrasi.go.id].
- Visa Fee: IDR 2,000,000 (for a stay of up to 60 days).
- Single-entry visa.
- Intended for participation in:
- Short courses.
- Short training programs.
- Academic study visits.
- Indonesian Language Programs (BIPA).
Requirements:
Applicants must prepare the following documents:

C. VISA E29 - FOR RESEARCH VISA
The E29 Visa is intended for individuals conducting research activities in Indonesia. It also permits business-related visits as representatives of overseas offices, allows family accompaniment, multiple entry during permit validity, and limited activities such as tourism or visiting relatives. Key Information:
- Valid for a stay of up to 1 year from the date of arrival.
- The stay permit can be extended online through [evisa.imigrasi.go.id].
- Visa Fee: IDR 6,000,000 (for a stay of up to 1 year).
- Single-entry visa.
- A sponsor is required to apply for this visa.
Additional Information:
- The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within this period, a new visa application is required.
- The visa validity is different from the length of stay. Applicants must check their visa for details of the granted stay period.
- The Limited Stay Permit and Re-entry Permit will be automatically issued upon arrival and immigration clearance.
- Overstaying is strictly prohibited.
- Engaging in activities not aligned with the granted stay permit is prohibited.
- Selling goods or services is not allowed, unless it is part of the approved research activities.
Requirements:

D. VISA C22 - FOR INTERNSHIP

Key Information:
- Valid for up to 60 days or 180 days.
- May be extended by submitting a new application, with each extension valid for up to 60 days or 180 days. It can be extended online through [evisa.imigrasi.go.id].
- Single-entry visa.
- Visa fee:
- IDR 3,000,000 (for a stay of up to 60 days).
- IDR 4,000,000 (for a stay of up to 180 days).
Requirements:

- Personal bank statement from the last 3 months with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 or equivalent (must include the applicant’s name, statement period, and account balance).

E. VISA C10 - FOR INVITED EVENT PARTICIPANT
The C10 Visa is intended for individuals participating in meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions (MICE), or similar events in Indonesia, including as speakers, presenters, or influencers. - Valid for an initial stay of up to 60 days from the date of arrival.
- The stay permit can be extended multiple times up to a maximum of 180 days. It can be extended online through [evisa.imigrasi.go.id].
- Extensions can be applied for online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id.
- Visa Fee: IDR 2,000,000 (for an initial stay of up to 60 days).
- Single-entry visa.
- A sponsor is required to apply for this visa.
Additional Information:
- The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within this period, a new visa application is required.
- The visa validity is different from the length of stay. Applicants must check their visa for details of the granted stay period.
- Foreign nationals holding this visa are allowed to receive compensation, honorarium, or similar payments from individuals or organizations in Indonesia.
- However, they are not permitted to engage in formal employment with individuals or companies in Indonesia.

F. VISA C1 - FOR VISITING VISA
